Iloilo officials close ranks behind GMA

Local officials here have expressed support for beleaguered President Arroyo, passing a manifesto of support a day after another Ilonggo official, Senate President Franklin Drilon called on the Chief Executive to step down.

Gonzalez hits Drilon for being the 'deserter'

Resigned Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez spoke in strongest words his solid support to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Same strongest in words thrown at Senate President Franklin Drilon during Sunday's gathering aimed at showing unwavering Ilonggo support of the local Lakas party.

Thousands expected to join call for PGMA's ouster

At least 2,000 Ilonggos are expected to troop to the street Wednesday to demand the resignation of President Arroyo. This comes in the wake of the launching of the Arroyo Resign Movement-Panay, a broad multisectoral group, yesterday (July 11) afternoon.
