Capiz PDC okays P825-M AIP
ROXAS CITY – The Provincial Development Council of Capiz approved the province’s P825.153-million Annual Investment Program for 2011 during its meeting at the Provincial Capitol yesterday.
Among the items in the AIP for 2011 are: P7 million, special education funds; P115.84 million, external services; P550 million, general fund; P108.68 million, social services; and P6.6 million, economic services.
Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco Sr. said the PDC will forward the AIP to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for approval.
The PDC meeting was attended by Roxas City Mayor Angel Alan Celino and Vice Mayor Alfonso Golero, Board Member Jeffrey Layo, and representatives from other local government units, national government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
In the meeting, an audio-visual presentation on Tanco’s renewal of the commitment was shown by the Capiz Provincial Press Bureau led by its chief Edward Basilonia.
The video outlined the development agenda of Tanco, including a vibrant economy, rice and corn sufficiency, quality and relevant education, eco-cultural tourism hub, healthy Capizeños, adequate infrastructure support system, and awards.*
