Roxas police to set up mobile PA system
ROXAS CITY – A mobile public address system will soon be established by the Roxas City Police Station to enhance its anti-criminality campaign.
“This will be unique because we plan to set up big speakers on our patrol cars,” Police Community Relations section chief, Insp. Rowell Bucat, said.
The Philippine Information Agency said the proposed initiative is an electronic amplification system that will be used to announce a pre-recorded anti-criminality campaign in a particular area.
“We are focused on psychological offensives to convince the residents that they must also take part in maintaining peace and order,” Bucat said.
The heightened implementation of PCR activities here is in line with the PCR Month celebration themed “Matatag na Pagkakaisa ng Pambansang Pulisya at Mamamayan Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.”
The month-long observance is embodied in Presidential Proclamation No. 764 which declares the month of July every year as PCR Month.
Supt. Leo Batiles, Roxas City police chief, said their station has a continuing barangay and school-based anti-criminality program to get the participation of the community in crime prevention.
“We cannot do it alone,” Batiles said in a press conference on the anti-crime program of action and the city’s current peace and order situation.
