Councilor Tupas earns his doctorate degree
Councilor Lex Tupas spearheaded a medical and dental mission recently at Barangay MV Hechanova, with five doctors and three dentists headed by Dr. Nielito Tupas, volunteering. There were 370 beneficiaries. The project was supported by the barangay officials of MV Hechanova, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and VFD Advance Training School. The activity was one of the many programs of Councilor Tupas, who wants to extend services to the people of Iloilo City.
Also, Councilor Tupas has recently earned a Doctorate in Management in Public Management from the Central Philippine University. His graduation was held last Oct. 18, 2009. He is said to be the youngest doctoral degree holder at the age of 30 and the fastest who obtained it in just two years and two months. On the same day, a graduation dinner was held at the Tupas’ residence in Barangay MV Hechnova with 200 family, friends and supporters attending.
“I am honored, blessed and privileged to have reached another milestone in my journey towards further and continuous education. I am also thankful for my family, relatives and real friends who are sincerely happy and proud of me and what I have accomplished. The two years and two months of hard work, perseverance, commitment and dedication was all worth it,” Dr. Tupas said.
