Birthday 'Boy'

“Intimate” was it was all about. Boy Peña celebrated his 54th birthday with an intimate dinner that included family and his “BFF’s” or best friends forever. It was a night where his family celebrated and gave thanks for his good health and for another fruitful year. It was also a night where friends raised their drinks and cheered for more years of great company, badminton games, and more chances to share dirty jokes and play pranks at Boy.
In a private function room at the 18th St. Pala-Pala Restaurant, his gracious wife, handmade-paper-queen Reena, their kids Mari and Carlo, entertained guests with mouth-watering food, overflowing wine, and not-so-subdued laughter. The restaurant is famous for its seafood, displayed and cooked to what’s on the menu or whatever your tongue desires. Nil and Lyn Gamboa, together with their grandchildren were enjoying their sumptuous dinner of seafood that was grilled, sizzling, fried, boiled, broiled, or steamed. The restaurant just had a major renovation job, with lights designed by Silay Exports, Inc, which is owned by Reena. Looking up at its high ceiling, one can’t help but admire the uniquely designed “sailboat lights” hanging overhead, which added the perfect touch for the evening’s ambience.
So when they guys declared war when the beer ran out, Boy moved the party to Piazza Sorrento, where the laughter was louder. Contributing to the fun were Mary Ann Colmenares of the Showroom and her hubby, Nonoy, Ria Montelibano, Jun and Dr. Jenny Uy Kho, Drs. Willy and Caroline Yu, Dr. Kerwin Hiponia, Josie Gomez, Board Member Guding and Sara Lacson, Boy and Christine Severino, Jackie and Mai-Lien Gamboa with their lovely daughter, Isabella.
Here’s more birthday wishes to the birthday Boy, and I am definitely awaiting next year’s celebration!
