Another call center eyes Iloilo City
Another call center company is coming here to assess the viability of investing in the metropolis.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said call center executives will visit the schools here this week to determine the availability of potential human resources and look at the possible location to host their office of operations.
“They are very interested. It will mean additional investments and jobs. The city is ready for interested BPOs (business process outsourcing) willing to invest here,” he stressed.
Treñas did not reveal the name of the call center firm pending the negotiations to settle here.
The mayor said Philippine Economic Zone Authority-accredited sites including two malls --Robinson’s Place in City Proper and Gaisano City in La Paz district-- will be available to prospective BPO locators.
These PEZA information technology parks which offer various tax incentives will be attractive to BPO investors.
The city government is also preparing all the necessary data needed for investment plans for interested BPOs to consider. (PNA)
