Jetting in from the USA for a short vacation, top Florida-based nephrologist Dr. Fernando “Boy” Abanilla together with his stunning and very gracious wife the former Arlene O'Hara, was feted to an elegant pool side dinner party hosted by his sister and Iloilo's top hostess Cecile Abanilla-Gison and hubby Gary at their beautif home in Villa, Arevalo.
The venue had the most romantic ambiance with dozens of candlelights placed all over the garden and pool side area. A live band provided a repertoire of soothing Bossa Nova music while cocktails were served. The most wonderful sight was the buffet table which was arranged by the host's in-house floral stylist. The food was simply divine, which was lovingly prepared by the Abanilla matriarch Madame Leonor.
Guests who came to welcome and dine with Boy and Arlene were Drs. Robert and Wendy Uy, Dr. Rene Somcio, fashion designer Bo Parcon, talented artist (cousin of Dr. Boy) Jaki Penalosa with husband Butz; handsome couple Henry and Gladys Cordero; always charming Nap and Lynnie Denila; and the very well-liked couple Romy and Chona Bondoc. Also present were Dr. Boy's siblings Glenda Abanilla-Valencia, Carmela Abanilla-Quintos, Ditot Abanilla and Oliver Abanilla with their respective families.
It was such a lovely party indeed and a happy reunion for the Abanilla family. Cheers!
