IDFI to decide on fate of Tribu Hamili, Himala today

The Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. (IDFI) will render its decision today on whether to allow the Tribu Hamili and Tribu Himala to perform during the 2009 Dinagyang Festival Ati competition this Sunday as their preparedness and costumes are put on question.

2nd flyover to rise in Iloilo City

Iloilo City will have its second flyover project under the forthcoming Mega Bridges for Urban and Rural Development Project funded by the French government. It will be implemented by the President’s Bridge Program which is under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

All set for world’s biggest bowl of La Paz batchoy

The table is set for the world’s biggest bowl of La Paz batchoy. The attempt at setting another world record in Iloilo comes within four days after players from Barotac Nuevo town made history for having played soccer for over 35 hours, two hours longer than the record set in Armidale, Australia.

The cooks, numbering six, will start preparations as early as 2 a.m. Thursday at the La Paz public plaza, Joel Adrias, spokesperson of organizer Edgar Sia II, told The News Today yesterday.
