Dressed to Thrill!
Now who says Halloween is the scariest night of the year?
Friends ready to party.
If you didn't know where the music thumped, where the lights blinked, and where the people gathered last October 31, 2008, then you missed out on Mu Shu Restaurant and Bar's hip Halloween party. It was a gathering of Bacolod's party people and was probably the most "happening" place along Lacson Street. The party spread from the restaurant's red-lit interiors all the way to the driveway, with guests spilling out onto the streets because it was just way too crowded inside. The requirement was simple: wear a costume. And that's what most of them did because it was a collection of the sexiest, funniest, funkiest, scariest, wildest, loudest and the most unique costumes gathered under one roof. DJ Chris Yanson made sure the music didn't stop spinning with his collection of music, and Mu Shu's bar made sure drinks were within reach till the wee hours of the morning. Whether you were in costume or not, you were bound to have a Halloween night of your life!
Wild West goes to Mu Shu.
Showing off his legs was Hans Corral in his Zohan inspired costume, which brought him the "Sexiest Award" for the night, leaving Katrina Solinap in her sexy policewoman costume, a mere runner-up for the award. Spotted mingling with the rest of this wild crowd were cowboys and cowgirls, Sweeney Todd (Gringo Benedicto), "Ironman", "Lego-Man" (Miles Sanchez and winner of the Most Unique Award), a walking dead man, a Mexican dancer (Nicolo Yulo as winner of the Scariest Costume), an alien, an angel, among others. Makes you wonder if you were still on earth or in some far off planet! Costumes were complete from head to foot, including handheld props, like a fireman's hose or spiked hands. Surely, it was a night of fun and reunions especially for students who came home for the school break. Now who says Halloween is the scariest night of the year?
