Bank sponsors blood-letting
This coming October 13, 2007, Asia United Bank in partnership with The Philippine National Red Cross & Iloilo Doctors' Hospital will again hold "Two Banks: One Heart" A Blood-Letting & Medical Mission.
This event is a series of three scheduled blood-letting activities and medical missions set on the Fountain Area of Robinsons Place Iloilo.
The main focus of the event is three-folds: 1. Collection of fresh blood from patient donors. 2. Free medical services for both patient donors & walk-in patients. 3 Promotion of the "Blood Samaritan" Project.
The "Blood Samaritan" Program authored by Sen. Dick Gordon aims to pool funds from various companies and individual benefactors to help cover expenses needed to improve the quality of blood and cover blood processing fees of indigent families in dire need. All monetary contributions from companies are tax-deductible.
Monetary donations will help cover the blood processing fees of indigent communities and aid PNRC to improve the quality of blood.
Generous donors are invited to deposit their donations to Asia United Bank, account name: Philippine National Red Cross, account number 203-01-000053-8.
"Two Banks: One Heart" A Blood-Letting & Medical Mission is also supported by Mang Inasal Philippines, Iloilo Doctors' Hospital, Robinsons Place Iloilo, and ABS - CBN & MOR 91.1.
The Philippine Army Combo Band will entertain the participants with their lively music from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
