Photojournalist scores unauthorized use of photographs

An Aklan-based freelance photojournalist has scored the unauthorized use of photographs he took in the campaign materials of Aklan officials in the last elections.

Joe Haresh Tanodra, 42, alleged that photographs that he took of Aklan Rep. Florencio Miraflores, Gov. Carlito Marquez and former Vice Gov. Ronquillo Tolentino were used without his permission in the 2007 calendar and t-shirts distributed by the provincial government.


New voters urged to register for upcoming barangay, SK polls

City Commission on Elections (Comelec) in-charge Jonathan Sayno has urged new voters to register starting July 15-22, 2007 so that that they could vote in the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 29, 2007.

It was attended by some of the girls themselves and social workers from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The exhibit featured the works that the girls made from a series of workshops facilitated by Benji.
