PRO 6 scores 18 arrests in initial implementation of Comelec gun ban

Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 recorded 18 arrests in just 18 days in its implementation of Commission on Elections (Comelec) Resolution No. 7764, which provides the rules and regulations on bearing, carrying or transporting of firearms or other deadly weapons.

Councilor apologizes to CLO staff

Majority Floor Leader Eduardo Peñaredondo made a public apology to Rolito Dela Cruz, a staff of the City Legal Office, during last Wednesday's regular session. Earlier, Peñaredondo allegedly badmouthed De la Cruz at the CLO office when the latter refused to return to him the documents regarding his land deal with the city government. Still, nothing good came out from his transaction with the city government.

For lack of jurisdiction over administrative case filed against a barangay official, the Ombudsman Visayas has terminated the administrative case against the Punong Barangay of Libertad, Lapuz filed by a police officer and a mother who took back her daughter's belongings in the same barangay. Instead the case was referred to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
