Senate expected to lash PNP for Capitol siege

Instead of a commendation, members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) who participated in the siege of the Iloilo provincial capitol last week, should expect to get a lashing from the Senate.

Sen. Franklin Drilon said that commending the policemen involved in the operation is 'uncalled for,' and that the PNP is likely to get a lashing over the incident.

Last January 25, 2007, the Iloilo Golf and Country Club 6th Mayor Jerry P. Treņas Cup culminated with a dinner and awarding ceremony at the Amigo Terrace Hotel. The fun-filled event was made possible by the IGCC Working Committee headed by the 6th Mayor's Cup Chairman Oscar Nava, Vice Chairman Henry Go, Assistant Vice Chairman Johnny Young and Tournament Director Butch Jamerlan.
