The London Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Club contracted the services of Sonsub International Pty. Ltd to recover the remaining industrial fuel oil in the sunken tanker Solar I lying off Guimaras waters since August.

It was five months ago when a group of motorcycle aficionados in the municipality of Leon contracted the Cagalitan family to turn the scenic ala-delta lot along Sibalum River, fronting Baltazar-Aquino Bridge and Sitio Buntalan Hillsides into a Motocross track. From then on, every Saturdays and Sundays starting from July to early November, the area became filled with motorcycle riders practicing on manmade terrain and humps. The area became a haven and arena of thrill, fun, extraordinary and extreme adventure.

US Meat Foodservice Seminar

The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), a non-profit trade association that aims to promote U.S. Beef, pork, veal, lamb, processed meat and variety meats to the international market, was in the city last November 18, 2006 for a brief Foodservice Seminar and Cooking Demo. USMEF has been providing the international markets, from Moscow to Singapore, with high-quality corn-fed beef and pork for years. The association is funded and supported by the United States Government through the Unites States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
