Prov'l docs, nurses ready raps vs guv over P30M unpaid dues

Last-ditch efforts made over the weekend aimed at resolving the multi-million row of hundreds of doctors, nurses, medical and para-medical workers under the Iloilo Provincial Government's employ failed. As such, Governor Niel Tupas will face a multi-million suit all set to be filed by the Iloilo Health Workers Association (IHWA).

Iloilo's medical community divided on Guerra-Tirador P10M suit

The medical community in Iloilo are divided on the continuing saga involving two top Ilonggo doctors here. With a P10 million damage suit now filed in Court, colleagues of Dr. Ramon Guerra and Dr. Louie Tirador expressed mixed sentiments over the row.

Batad exec rebuts Bantay Dagat chief

Mayor Pedro Alarcon of Batad, Iloilo denied the allegations made by Bantay Dagat chief Reynaldo Villa that the team composed of policemen and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) personnel had a drinking spree at his residence before conducting the operation to take the two fishing boats which was under Villa's custody last November 7, 2006.

Alarcon told The News Today that Villa's testimonies made to Governor Niel Tupas, Sr. were full of lies.

Unknown to science until now, a new species of carabao has been discovered -- 100,000 years late.

During the Ice Age, Bubalus cebuensis stood 2.5 feet and weighed about 160 kilograms. It was a mini copy of today's adult water buffaloes that stand 6 feet and weigh up to a ton.
