There is an issue on what to name the new airport in Cabatuan... what do you suggest? Why?
Let's retain the old name to give due credit to those who labored for the project. At worst we can name it ILOILO PANAY AIRPORT etc. for whatever it's worth.
ATTY. JOSE "Pepe" DEMAISIP
Tomas Confessor International Airport in honor of this prewar Ilonggo icon and for what he stood for.
Iloilo International Airport because it is situated in the province of Iloilo.
Despite the alleged anomalous deals and transactions hounding the airport, let original name remain. Let us give credit to the Ilonggos who made that airport a reality.
Iloilo International Airport
The International-Controversial Airport.
Iloilo International Airport. It's logical. Naming it otherwise only confuse tourists especially foreigners. Panay is not listed as a city nor a province.
Iloilo of course to many people are trying to keep our lovely city out of the limelight.
PANAY ISLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – because the name suggests generality.
I really find it silly when instead of doing something more important, our politicians dwell on a trivial matter. Name it after a hero who is from here.
Western Iloilo International Airport – because it is located in the western side of the city.
Of course... Iloilo International Airport... Because it's the province's gateway to the world.
Should not be named after any person. The heroes of today are the traitors of tomorrow. Let it be known as Iloilo Airport. It will never go out of relevance.
Panay International Airport (PIA) or Airport kang Gamhanon nga Ilonggo... in short (AGI). Just choose which is which...
BOBOT PAMPOLINA, JR.
It must be named ILOILO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT after the name of the province where it is located. It will be easier to locate for directions or even through map reading.
ATTY. DAN VALENZUELA
I really don't care at this point. At the rate expose' after expose' about corruption is made, I don't think we'd even reach that point of naming an airport. So why don't we just wait and see if there's a bridge before we even think of crossing one.
They should follow the original name. Iloilo International Airport. They all agreed on that before!
I suggest we name it Perez-Treñas International Airport in Iloilo near Antique. What a sub-human issue!
Lopez Jaena International Airport
