Construction firm's directors lose perjury case

The directors of the multi-million peso construction company Pre-Stress International (PSI) lost the perjury case they filed against Iloilo businessman Hanson Cembrano last year after the court granted the latter's bid to quash the complaint.

PGMA to grace Aklan's 50th Anniversary Celebration

President Arroyo will be in Aklan for her second visit this year as the province turns gold on April 25. Her visit was confirmed by Aklan Governor Carlito S. Marquez at the meeting with concerned national government and provincial heads of offices to finalize arrangements and preparations for the celebration which was also attended by Rep. Florencio T. Miraflores.

Commission on Election (Comelec) Regional Director Atty. Dennis Ausan and Mayor Jerry Treñas laughed off the civil suit filed by anti-charter change group Ilonggo Movement against Gloria's Cha-cha (I-March) before the Iloilo Regional Trial Court.

The regional office 6 of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) could not confirm yet if there are Ilonggo Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) included in those who were arrested and detained in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and who are the subject of investigation of Saudi authorities in connection with missing Filipinos and on certain illegal activities.

Tinorian in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, have enough reason to hope for a brighter and better tomorrow as they have started to benefit from the HIMAYA project of the Buensuceso-Celiz Foundation, Inc., led by its President Mrs. Asuncion B. Binirayan 2006 Malay-Ati competition on April 29 is the grandest and the biggest tribe competition in the festival's 32-year history. This is according to the Binirayan Foundation Inc., the festival's event organizer, headed by Mr. Alex Delos Santos as executive director.

Semirara oil spill victims get assistance

San Jose, Antique -- The Provincial Government of Antique has approved assistance to 159 victims of Semirara oil spill in terms of relief goods and clothing.
