Cops zero in on Passi City robbery-homicide suspects

Continued police efforts of the Passi City PNP on Monday’s robbery with homicide incident yielded positive results in the arrest of two suspects and identification of three others.

With criminal charges all set for filing, Senior Supt. Efren Quintos, Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) Director identified the arrested suspects as Julius Jaleco alias “Payat” of Barangay Agtabo, Passi City and Glomar Billones alias “Panoy” of Barangay Braulan, San Enrique, Iloilo.  The three others presently at large and subject of extensive manhunt operation are Jeffrey Barrios alias “Popo,” Raymund Sillurico alias “Riri” both of Barangay Agtabo as well and Juno Dolreich Aguilar alias “Bimbim” of Barangay Catan-agan, San Enrique, Iloilo.

Such, alongside confirmation gathered by The News Today (TNT) that the X-4 Suzuki motorcycle used in the robbery was also recovered.  Another single motorcycle with no car plate remains unrecovered including the weapon used in the shooting of one male victim.

The robbery-hold up occurred early morning of October 10th when the group barged into the warehouse of rice trader Reno Palmares at Sara Road Passi City.  The businessman’s longtime hired help was shot at close range by one of the suspects while another grabbed the pouch with P300,000 inside.

Witness accounts disclosed of a planned attack with the culprits closely following the movements of the victim who left his residence with the money and proceeded to the warehouse some 300 meters away.

Efforts in the hospital failed to resuscitate the victim given the gravity of his gunshot wounds.
