Molo police chief defends self

Inspector Frankie Jingle Lugo, precinct commander of Molo police station, said the reports linking him as a protector of illegal drugs is a mere “demolition job” perpetrated by his colleagues whom he had stepped upon in the course of doing his job.

Lugo, who assumed the position only last August, is presently bombarded with several alleged anomalies.

Lugo theorized that the rumors implicating him in the illegal drugs activity was spread by cops recently relieved from the Molo police station.

SPO1 Rex Jabian, PO3 Willy Sigutier and PO2 Dexter Sevilla, all former personnel of Molo PNP, were among the eleven policemen relieved by Iloilo City Police Director Senior Supt. Norlito Bautista recently due to inefficiency.

Earlier Lugo filed an administrative case against Sevilla for threatening him inside the Molo PNP following his relief order.

Lugo challenged his detractors to present witnesses to prove their claims.
They have to check my family background in Ilocos before they could say that I’m receiving protection money from drug lords, he said.

The rumors implicating Lugo on the drug lord's payroll was strengthened when records from Camp Delgado showed that he is not receiving his salary from the finance division here.

“I have a friend in the finance division at Camp Crame who gets my salary,” he clarified.
Lugo said his name is still included in the roster of the Special Action Force (SAF) in Camp Crame.

“I don’t have to engage in illegal activities to sustain the kind of life that I use to enjoy even before I graduated from the Philippine National Police Academy,” he added.
