Opinion Polls

What can you say about the result of the votation on whether to impeach GMA or not?

GERRY GUADARRAMA

Wasn't your intelligence insulted by it? As long as lawyers dominate the political scene, this country is heading nowhere. Let the engineers take over for they will get to the root of the problems and come up with real solutions. Lawyers will try to win cases on a technicality without even scratching the surface of the problem. Many people think that there is no better alternative. Well, the alternative doesn't have to come from the ranks of the opposition. Does the name Bayani Fernando ring a bell?

DR. LOUIE TIRADOR

Good. It's done. Now we can move forward. Enough of this politicking. It's time for congressmen to work!!!

JOE ZULUETA

Democratic

LAWRENCE YU

Whether the outcome of the vote was positive or not, the very main thing is for them to set partisan politics aside and work together to save our economy.

CLEMENTE TAN

IMPEACH GMA!!!

ATTY. JOSE “Pepe” DEMAISIP

I am satisfied with the results of the votation and it is about time our lawmakers concentrate on the crucial task of lawmaking.

ATTY. CYRIL REGALADO

The Congressmen never consulted the constituents they were supposed to represent, their votes were not the vote of the people.

GEORGE LUZON

We must respect what is the result in the congress and go on to resolve the economy.

JUN TILLAFLOR

Am glad about it, the result of course. Not known any act done by PGMA to be impeachable. Debatable? That's my opinion and belief! Dare me!

FICO CUERVO

I feel time is wasted and I don't see the future for my kids in the Philippines because it will always be the crooks with money who will run the country.

BOY MUNDO

Opposition should stop na and accept gracefully their defeat. They divert energy and should work towards resolving more important matters vital to our country's economic well being like energy and other saving measures, revenue collection and other reforms. GMA should work at reconciling all factions.

City Councilor JED MABILOG

In a democracy, the voice of the majority must be followed while the voice of the minority must be heard. That is the process and it must be respected.

ALEX OPPURA

It only shows that our LEGISLATORS are mature enough in dealing with such political turbulence. My WARMEST congratulations to all YES voters. Keep up the good work.

CATHERINE UY

I was disgusted. For I know that those who favored to scrap the impeachment are selfish.

ALLAN TAJANLANGIT

I believe that was the best way to stop this nonsense in our country. It's time that we focus on rebuilding this country back to greatness. I hope these congressmen would focus on vital bills that would attract foreign money and not on silly selfish interests. We can make this country great again!

BOBOT PAMPOLINA, JR.

The votation went in favor of the President's survival in office which is better than if she's impeached. The oppositionists have no clear plan of running this country already plagued with uncontrolled oil price hike, rising unemployment, poverty and disrespect of other nations.

JOEBOY AGRIAM

It proved that money worked (thanks to PAGCOR, PCSO, jueteng and DA for the 158 votes), and that many of our solons are trapos. Hail to the young, principled and crusading solons led by Chis Escudero. These are the breed of politicians our country needs to progress.

JULIUS JUANITO

The result was expected. It's an insult to our intelligence to say Malacañang did not influence the voting. But why is the president afraid to go on trial if she is innocent?

FRANCIS GRIÑO

I'm happy for the country because at this point in time, I don't see anybody strong enough to lead us out of this economic and political quagmire.

OSCAR NAVA

Sorry Cory, but I will not march just to bring into power Erap, Marcos loyalists, Lacson and the Stalinists. Please pass till this reaches Cory.

ARLENE ARDEÑA-BONGOSIA

The whole process was an exercise in futility. A waste of taxpayers money.

ALLAN RIVERA

What else can anyone say after the fact di ba? Bow nalang and look to the sky. And sigh. REBOLUSYON! The real one, not the ones for press releases and media coverage. REBOLUSYON! Ehhhh… wazzup doc?

DR. KRISTIN TREÑAS

It is sad, because by the dismissal of the impeachment complaint, it is obvious that deals were made, and the gains of People Power 1 & 2 were lost! Marcos will be buried as a hero and ERAP's plunder charge dismissed! And all because of the greed for power!

CARMEN ANTUNEZ

It is a tragedy that today our best option is to settle for a leader who cannot and will not clear her name given some very serious accusations. This country needs a good leader but that well is dry! There aren't any decent options out there.

EMMA NAVA

Enough said and done. Time to move on… Nakakasuka na yan!

DENNIS LOCSIN

…the GOOD GUYS lost…

LEONARDO PESTAÑO

T.K.O. “LUTONG Malacañang walang sibu, fritu sa sariling mantika”

ANDY AREVALO

Let's accept the fact that they won, we cannot go on accusing everyone of being paid or corrupt, if we can't trust no one then in the end will trust us. We must learn to respect each other's opinion no matter how we are opposed to it, one man's pride can be the fall of the whole nation, we must work for the common good and let this country rise again if we are really concerned of the future generation – country first above all personal interests.

JESS DIMAFILES

The president can now smile from ear to ear and can sleep soundly at night while the poor grimace and grind their teeth as the country goes deeper in debt when the GMA administration used public funds to survive.

JANICE GIMENEZ

I still say GMA ashould be impeached.
