Opinion Polls

Are you in favor of Parliamentary / Federal system form of government? Why or why not?

ELMER PAHELGA
Yes. With the dismal situation our country is in, perhaps a shift to federalism just might bail us out from the crisis we are always confronted with in the present setup.

BICBIC PADILLA
I am for the self serving politicians and government officials to quit fighting for their political interests and gains and instead work for the betterment of the country! They are the criminals killing our economy and people. They should know the meaning of public servants.

AMY WONG
I want the form of government that serves most of the public not just a few.

DR. FREDDIE LOPEZ
No. Unless all of us change, any form of government will give the same result.

CANDY CAMPOS
Yes, sort of. As long as the country leader can be like Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Kwan Yu.

DR. ED DIAZ
Yes. Most countries under this form of government are progressive. Why not give it a try but minus those corrupt officials.

DR. BELLE JAYME
Parliamentary or not we will still not get anywhere if the leader is corrupt. But I am for it as that would mean the riches of Iloilo will stay and benefit the people living here. The rest of the country can worry about themselves.

EMMA NAVA
Yes, but we need to know more about Federalism so we can all understand what we are getting into. Ousting a President thru people power must stop. Sobra na.

ERIC PROTACIO
Yes I am in favor. This will minimize if not totally eradicate corruption in the national level.

EDGAR SIA
Yes we need to change the system, but the PEOPLE up there are the main PROBLEM.

ALVIN TAN
None of the two. I am in favor of changing the leadership not the system of government.

ERMI HOSENILLA
I'm in favor of parliamentary form of government. Will pave way in toppling political clans and traditional politicians.

DR. KRISTIN TREÑAS
Definitely! The focusing of great central power in a society is unnatural, neither flexible enough nor dynamic enough to respond to the fluctuating needs of people, especially the need for creative participation.

JONAH JERUSALEM
YES I am in favor. I think it is time to taste another flavor. Its TIME TO CROSS THE BRIDGE.

GENE GARINGALAO
Yes. The present system doesn't work among the many other reasons so let's try this new system. Who knows, it could be a panacea for all our ills.

JOEBOY AGRIAM
As long as the trapos, the likes of Ramos and de Venecia are on it, NO! Just good leaders with a noble intention to serve and help his country/people with no vested interest is what we need. Presidential is still the best form of government for check and balance and short tenure of office.

JAY CERTEZA
I say let's give it a try. The country has already hit rock bottom as far as governing is concerned. A new system just might work, and if it doesn't work then, hell at least the new changes should be entertaining. More bickering and finger pointing on primetime TV.

JUNDY GUECO
Ako gusto ko U.S. Statehood!

JANICE GIMENEZ
No. I'm in favor of Gloria stepping down from the presidency.

KENNETH LERONA
Yes to Federalism. It is time to decentralize our governance to speed up bureaucracy and trigger state-based economic and political growth.
