School for the arts to offer modular weekend workshops

The Iloilo National High School – Special Program for the Arts, the pioneer secondary level arts school in Visayas and Mindanao will expand its program by offering modular weekend arts workshops.

Dubbed “Sining Galing,” the workshops  will cover the Visual Arts, Ballet, DanceSports, Theater, Voice and Instruments, and Creative Writing.

According to Diary Sargado, head of the Iloilo National High School - Special Program for the Arts, the modular weekend arts workshops will give elementary pupils and high school students the opportunity to develop their skills and excel in the arts by continually being active in the “hands-on approach.”

Sargado also said that the workshops are necessary for elementary pupils who want to prepare themselves for entrance in the arts school.

“The weekend workshops will also train those who simply want to learn and engage in the different art fields,” Sargado further said.
