55th year reunion of the once young

Orchids to the Alumni of ICNHS Class 1950 during their 55 th year Reunion which will be conducted at the Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iznart Street , Iloilo City, on Sunday April 3, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Nearly 100 alumni coming from the U.S. , Metro Manila, Negros Occidental, Guimaras, Capiz, Aklan, Antique and Iloilo are expected to grace the memorable homecoming on Sunday. The surviving Class 1950 alumni many of whom are in their early 70s and 80s are still brisk, vigorous and blustering and will no doubt reminisce the happy-go-lucky days way back in the late 40s to 50s when the young knights were in their shining armor and the charming damas were in their queenly apparel, not above-the-knee nor the mini skirts.

Expected to arrive by plane on Saturday, April 2, are former Phil. Air Force chief Gen. Federico Pasion Jr., Col. Mariano Ganzon, Monterey Farm Executive Ray Siguenza. Taking the Ro-Ro ship are Atty. Romeo Parcon, Adela Leyretana Parcon, Engr. Roberto Gillegani, Marietta Sing Aco, Ruth Dellarte and two daughters, Peter Chavez, Esperanza Nava True and Joseph David. From Negros Occidental and Bacolod City , arriving via fastcraft are Dra. Nenita Ynson, Luz Era Demailig, Cesar Villanueva, GSIS boss Clarito Alipio, Presentacion Fabila, Athlete of the Year Coach Aguinaldo Pablo.

Already in town are U.S. nurses Luz Villarete Brown and Nieves Ocampo and her husband Dr. Romeo Ocampo. Alumni from other parts of Panay and Guimaras will appear at the Iloilo Grand Hotel by surprise at the rejoicing of their classmates who for 55 years may not have seen each other.

The get together of Class 1950 alumni is not only emotional and heart-warming but also full of rejoicing since through the Almighty God's guidance and blessing, many of them have reached their sunset years and are still alive. Praise the Lord!

Some former high school sweethearts may recall to mind their memorable evenings together portraying their love with one another. Others probably will still recall the movie, “Romance in the Dark” scenario. Classmates who were joined together in the matrimony of marriage will no doubt count their blessings and the woes and triumphs of happy marriage with many professional children and grandchildren to boot with.

To all Class 1950 ICNHS Alumni, enjoy your 55 th year reunion, renew acquaintances and do not forget your God, the Creator, who sustains you all through the years. God bless you all bountifully good!
