After I drowned myself in solemn spiritual and heavenly meditation these past few days…the world is still a huge plastic bag!

Why are we bothered by others people's radiance? Is it because they threaten our existence or we need to exist without other people's need to exist?... no comment. Nevertheless, I call it “child's play”.

Familiar line: “I say you're lookin' at me like I'm some kind of freak and nobody see, why don't you do something!, If you know what I know you would stop staring at us, and get your own space and do something!,” Britney Spears violently scream from her freaky revived “Do something” hit single lately.

So, where's the plastic bag? I guess, I have thrown away some “insecurity” out of my heart.

Celebrity Pick 101: Ethel Booba and Ronie “Atak” Araña's abroad shows

Ethel Booba and Ilonggo stand-up comedian Ronie "Atak" Araña together with theri Filipina friend and an Arab national guy that toured the two famous pinoy comedians in Ireland after their international show in Dubai last March 8-9, 2005.

My ever good friend Ronie Araña, popularly known as the wacky Ilonggo comedian in various comedy bars in Manila as “Atak”, invited me for a luscious dinner to unleash his latest showbiz escapades and international comedy shows next month. Their latest successful shows in Dubai and Ireland together with GMA's “pasaway” diva Ethel Booba made our “Kababayans” happy and laugh their heart out to their wacky tandem. During their Middle East shows they were lucky enough to be toured by a wealthy businessman friend in Ireland . Whew! According to Ronie, Ethel become more and more raunchy on stage (and sensational too!) after the “Bluetooth scandal”. On the other hand, Ronie will be a semi-regular cast of ABS-CBN's “Kaya Mo Ba To!” reality TV show every Saturday with Carlos Agassi and Chocoliet. Well, Ronie deserves a lot of blessings in life because he has a good heart. So watch out his story on my Friday column “Controversions” that a talented Ilonggo like him is fast gaining a name in showbiz today. Anyway, Ethel and Ronie's upcoming shows will focus more on Middle East countries, two European and U.S. comedy shows. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Ronie, Jen Rosendahl of Viva Hot Babes and April Boy Regino held a successful show last March 18 in Guimbal during the Bantayan Festival.

Event Pick 101: Dare sequel conquered Club Plazo and Boracay

Rising from the sensually hot and sexy “Dare” fashion show by Eric de Los Santos and Bo Constantino, the fashion gurus of FDCI designers held its glittering and sassy Dare sequel last March 19 at Club Plazo of Hotel del Rio. The fashion parade of gorgeous hunks and catwalk mannequins turned the night into one exciting moment to feast your eyes with some of Bo Constantino's creative and innovative trendy designs. Okay, “Dare” invaded Boracay last Holy Thursday, March 24 with the same sexy and slick fashion extravaganza in the paradise island. The ever-versatile Aldrich Aparicio choreographed the daring fashion show with fiery energy. Whew! Should I say “Dare” is too hot to handle? Yeah right!

Anyway my holy week was exciting and full of moments to contemplate about my dreams, things that spin my world and me. God has been good to me and I'm truly grateful for all the blessings he gave me. I know I'll be doing exceptional projects in the near future so my optimism will always be alive to see a brighter day. Next time I'll be talking about the prophetic Bible Codes (a topic I'm very interested to tackle), Nina's new live album and a new fashion column with a good friend that I'll be launching soon in preparation for an upcoming fashion event. So, take care my dear readers and frendsters. Keep texting and Godbless!
