Kermith's beautiful mind

Have you seen Russel Crowe's intellectually inspired film “A Beautiful Mind”? The film is so inspiring that makes us learn to appreciate and be grateful for the intangible splendor of our mind that God bestowed upon us and that gave humanity the power to move mountains. Kermith Uberas is one sensible fellow who deeply embrace the radiance within us…

His intangible mind

BEAUTIFUL SOUL. Kermith reads a lot and think wisely.

Kermith Uberas is not just the usual 21-year-old guy . He is the only son of business-oriented couple Jimmy and Vilma Uberas of Bacolod City . He finished his elementary and secondary education at Colegio de San Agustin in Bacolod where he graduated as a valedictorian. Presently, he pursues B.S. Accountancy course at the University of the Philippines in the Visayas (UPV).

Kermith is a very simple and down-to-earth person who usually loves to spend his leisure time reading devotional books and plays a lot of badminton as a form of physical exercise. Above all, he deeply developed a fondness for Russel Crowe's famous film “A Beautiful Mind” wherein he could truly relate himself. His favorite musical band right now is OPM's pride Southborder who created a trend in local music scene. Kermith's philosophy in life says, “The essence of being a good leader is to make others good leaders” by being a good role model.

Presently, he manages his own business called Igen Portal International Corporation that distributes affiliated products under San Miguel Corp. such as Coca-cola, Magnolia, Monterey , Wilkins, Purefoods . Other companies included in line with his business are Nestle, Manels , Ovaltine , Blue Earth, Kawasaki, I G Sports, Sun Cellular, Compliments, Power load, Buddy Bar, Penshoppe , Zakand Lei, Kilaloe and many others that molded his entrepreneurial skills and determination to succeed.

His intangible echo

He is somebody who does something a day a time and invest so much patience in everything he does. After all, patience is truly a good virtue. Let me share to you his great thoughts during our sensible chat…

On the people he look up to as role models

“Francisco Kong as a businessman is full of integrity, uncompromised character and Godly principles because he can merge business with his Christian values. He works closely with Cito Beltran, Anthony Pangilinan and Marical Laxa as his business partners”

On something that people nowadays fail to realize in their life

“Most people forgot the essence of ‘apathy' because they are too busy doing things for themselves. Life in this world is not all about material and financial gains but a time to share with other people who needs our concern”

On his favorite book

“I love ‘One day at a Time' by Francis Kong because you're simply living life with real purpose if you internalize its relevant message”

On his opinion about the youth as our nation's hope

“Yes, absolutely, the Filipino youth of today are still hope of our nation. Our youthful minds are truly idealistic, we view things in enthusiastic perspective and we have the power or high degree of enthusiasm. What we need right now is faith and confidence to prove our worth in the society by doing what we know is right and beneficial”

On a certain talent he wishes to posses

WANDERING THOUGHTS. Kermith spontaneously answered my questions.

“I would love to sing well because through singing and music you can express your hidden emotions or sentiments to the world around you”

On his favorite expressions

“Alright !... everything's just alright! ( laughs and reveal a cute smile)”
