Province proposes ‘ bagsakan ' terminal

A “ bagsakan ” terminal is proposed by the province in order to patch up the problem of drivers and operators of provincial jeepneys plying the central lines relative to the implementation of the city's Perimeter Boundary Ordinance (PBO).

Governor Niel D. Tupas , Sr. observed that public utility vehicles as well as commuters in the province are affected by the implementation of the PBO.

He said some drivers complained to him that the terminal fee being charged in the designated terminal in Brgy . Ungka , Jaro is very high.

He said if the problem of the operators would not be settled he would look into other options to address the problem among provincial jeepney operators.

The governor said that he plans to meet with the mayors of Leganes and Pavia for the proposal of putting up a “ bagsakan ” terminal.

The “ bagsakan ” terminal would be for the benefit of the passengers as well as the vendors who have cargoes and baggages

To note, the different drivers associations in the province are scheduled to meet the governor to air their concerns regarding their problem with the PBO implementation.
